Security System Maintenance
A security system that's never checked is a system you can't fully trust. We offer maintenance visits and service contracts to keep your CCTV, alarm or access control system working the way it should, across NSW.
Why systems need looking after
Cameras can be knocked out of position, lenses collect dust and cobwebs, and alarm batteries wear down over time. None of that shows up until you actually need the footage or the alarm doesn't trigger — which is the worst time to find out.
It's the same story with recorders: a full hard drive can quietly stop saving new footage, and a sensor with a flat battery can go unnoticed for months. A maintenance visit catches these things while they're still easy to fix.
What a visit covers
A standard maintenance visit covers:
- Camera aim and focus
- Cleaning lenses and camera domes
- Checking recording is working, and how many days of footage are being kept
- Hard drive health
- Time sync
- Firmware updates where the update is stable
- Alarm sensor and siren test
- Backup battery check
- App access test
We also service systems installed by other companies — we'll inspect it first and quote the visit from there.
One-off visits or a contract
Some customers just want a system checked out once — after a storm, before selling a property, or simply because it's never been looked at since install day. Others prefer an ongoing service contract, so it's done on a regular schedule without having to remember to book it in.
A contract also means you've got someone to call if a camera stops recording or an alarm starts playing up, rather than starting from scratch with a new installer who doesn't know your system.
As a general guide, we'd recommend a check every 12 months — or every 6 months for commercial sites, dusty environments, or coastal properties where salt air speeds up wear.
Cost
Maintenance pricing depends on how many cameras and sensors you have and whether it's a one-off visit or a contract.
